Why Convert-Ringtones? |
 |
|
We've heard this question in multiple forms, like: "Why do we need an online system, when we can
download an application and convert as much ringtones, as we need?". Our CEO, Max Kraynov, wants
to clarify this matter.
"It's really a matter of perceptions. In the 21 century we're all living in, we have to rely on new technologies and use
more convenient approaches, appealing to a wider audience. Instead of downloading and installing Ringtone Creator, you can
try this free online service and decide for yourself if it's what you need. This service can not be called 'professional',
because it doesn't provide the whole variety of Ringtone Creator features; but it's a good point to start.
"If you have any specific requirements - we can fulfil them. We have an established procedure of writing custom converters for
our clients. But this online converter is a good point to start. Start without any obligations and keep your budget safe."

Why multiple formats? |
 |
|
Historically, it turned out that vendors of cellphones introduced different incompatible formats
for most types of content, from national languages encoding to more complex content like ringtones
and logos. Many proprietary ringtone formats exist at the moment, and it would be a great
business to be able to interpret them all.
Convert-Ringtones system supports almost all of these formats. The main purpose of this system was to prove that ringtone conversion
can be as transparent to the customer as possible. We believe that we've finally managed to find the way to do it.

Do you sell ringtones? |
 |
|
The answer is: NO! Even though we receive a fair amount of conversion requests, it's our policy not
to redistribute the ringtones we receive from our customers. Besides, we don't have time to check whether
the content isn't copyrighted, and we don't want to be caught red-handed for redistribution of illegal content.
That's why we encourage our clients to pay attention to the rights of authors of the ringtones you are trying to convert and sell.

My ringtone couldn't be converted |
 |
|
Most probably, the problem is that the ringtone is in the wrong format. Sometimes it happens when
people occasionally press a wrong key while editing a tone. Maybe you'd specified the wrong extension
for the ringtone. Please recheck your message and resend the correct version of it.
Some people naively believe that if they rename their ringtones from MP3 to MIDI, it'd automatically be converted by our
system. That's not true :(
